A First Rose–A DIY

There is nothing like receiving your first flower from a boy.
And when someone I know got a beautiful rose, her mom asked if I could think of a creative way to both preserve and display it.
Her mom followed my instructions to dry the rose which came out beautifully.

I headed to Home Goods for inspiration in creating a display that would be cool, modern, chic and also preservative.
I toyed with many different vases and bowls, but ultimately decided on a sleek rectangular vase, filled with natural woven balls and pine cone like wood pieces.

I love that it’s natural looking and I love it’s height.
I love how modern it is, but with an age old sentiment: love.
I love it,
and I hope she does, too.
